Tesco Maintenance

Jason Cross is Group Maintenance Manager for Tesco Maintenance. His team are responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance within Tesco and OneStop stores (UK and Ireland).

Application

Tesco were looking to standardise their weekly roof cleaning procedure across more than 750 stores. Jason needed countrywide consistency in the tools and procedure used, as well as guarantees the check was being completed.

Klipspringer worked with Tesco to clarify each cleaning task. This provided the clarity required to shortlist the most suitable cleaning tools required.

Solution

Every store is different, yet there was a need for uniformity. A custom designed cleaning station was the only way to implement this, also allowing Klipspringer to incorporate Tesco branding, relevant safety signage and procedures.

Careful consideration was given to the layout of the shadow board to ensure maximum space efficiency and keep costs to a minimum.

Tesco chose Klipspringer’s hard-wearing ACM base-material for robustness, weather-protection and longevity-of-life. UV-stable print also ensured that colour would not fade over time, whilst anti-scuff laminate provided extra protection.

Following successful completion of the trial, Jason’s business plan was approved and the budget secured. Thanks to Klipspringer’s state-of-the-art production facilities, more than 750 shadow boards were produced in less than 50 days!
